Intersight - AI Docs
This article explains how to use Intersight's AI document generation feature
1 Overview
AI Docs is Intersight’s document‑generation capability. It lets sellers create business‑case decks, mutual action plans, executive summaries, and email drafts that are grounded in real deal data–meeting transcripts, emails, and CRM fields–rather than generic boiler‑plate. A guided workflow walks users through selecting source content, choosing a template, and then refining the draft with Magic Writer.
2 Key Concepts
Term |
Definition |
Template |
Pre‑built structure for a specific deliverable (Business Case, Internal Prep, MAP, etc.). |
Content Selector |
Modal where you pick transcripts, emails, or free‑form notes to ground the draft. |
Magic Writer |
Side‑panel tool that rewrites, expands, or shortens any selected text. |
3 Creating a New Document
3.1 Launch the Wizard
- Navigate to an opportunity and open the Docs tab.
2. Click Create New Doc (top‑right). A template gallery appears, grouped by deliverable type.
3.2 Choose a Template
Select a template that matches your goal. Common options include:
• Business Case (Standard) –6‑section value justification.
• Mutual Action Plan – phased timeline with stakeholder owners.
• Internal Prep – Deal Debrief –lessons learned after win/loss.
• Email – Post‑Demo Follow‑Up – concise next‑step recap.
3.3 Select Source Content (Grounding)
After choosing a template you’ll see the Select Content modal (screenshot above). This step tells the AI which evidence to use when drafting your document.
- Existing Transcripts tab – tick boxes for discovery, demo, or pricing calls you want to reference.
- Emails – pull in key threads with the prospect to ensure quotes and next‑steps are accurate.
- Upload tab – drag‑and‑drop external PDFs or text files (e.g., RFP excerpts).
- Free‑Form Text tab – paste ad‑hoc notes or requirements gathered offline.
Use the search bar at the top of the modal to locate specific calls or emails by keyword. When you’re satisfied, click Generate. The draft usually appears within 10–30 seconds.
4 Editing the Draft
4.1 Rich‑Text Controls
- Headings (Font Size dropdown) • Bold / Italic / Underline • Bulleted & numbered lists • Tables • Hyperlinks
4.2 Using Magic Writer
- Highlight a sentence or paragraph.
- Click the Magic Writer button that appears or open the side panel via the toolbar.
- Choose an action: Rewrite, Shorten, Expand, or Change Tone (e.g., Formal ↔ Conversational).
- Preview the suggestion and click Apply to replace the original text.
Magic Writer is context‑aware: it respects names, numbers, and terminology pulled from your selected transcripts.
5 Exporting & Sharing
Use the Export menu in the top‑right corner of the editor to download a `.docx` or `.pdf` copy. Alternatively, toggle Share Link to generate a public, view‑only URL you can send to customers.
6 Best Practices
- Select at least one discovery call transcript plus the latest pricing email to ensure well‑rounded grounding.
- Export as PDF for external stakeholders; DOCX is best for internal collaboration and redlines.
